Educate Staffing is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harrow that is seeking a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners at the start of their educational journey.
Candidates with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) are particularly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering inspiring, creative, and inclusive learning experiences in the EYFS classroom.
Foster a nurturing, positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Provide individual and small group support, including working with children who have additional needs.
Help prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning activities.
Support the assessment and tracking of pupil progress, feeding back to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils.
Assist with the daily care and supervision of pupils to support their wellbeing and development.
Requirements:
Essential:
Previous experience supporting children in an EYFS or primary setting.
A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A proactive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Desirable:
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, CACHE, or equivalent).
Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (training can be provided).
