Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Educate Staffing is working with a caring and inclusive primary school in Ealing that is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with additional learning needs, looking to play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive educational experience for every pupil.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes the wellbeing and progress of all pupils.
Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources and activities.
Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff and external professionals where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to implement EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.
Support pupils' social and emotional development through structured interventions and day-to-day classroom activities.
Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and the welfare of all children.
Requirements:
Essential:
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school or educational setting.
Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and how to support them in a classroom environment.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative to support pupil learning and wellbeing.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2/3) or similar.
Experience working in a primary school setting.
Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and best practices in inclusive education.
Paediatric First Aid or other relevant training (training can be provided).
