Location: Ealing, London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

About the Role:

Educate Staffing is working with a caring and inclusive primary school in Ealing that is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with additional learning needs, looking to play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive educational experience for every pupil.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

  • Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.

  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes the wellbeing and progress of all pupils.

  • Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources and activities.

  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff and external professionals where appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to implement EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.

  • Support pupils' social and emotional development through structured interventions and day-to-day classroom activities.

  • Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and the welfare of all children.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school or educational setting.

  • Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and how to support them in a classroom environment.

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative to support pupil learning and wellbeing.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2/3) or similar.

  • Experience working in a primary school setting.

  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and best practices in inclusive education.

  • Paediatric First Aid or other relevant training (training can be provided).
