Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Hounslow, London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Contract

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a school-based environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to provide high-quality classroom support, contribute to a positive learning atmosphere, and help pupils reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom, working with individuals, small groups, or the whole class as required.

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.

  • Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the needs of pupils, including those with additional needs or EHCPs.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.

  • Promote good behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management policies.

  • Help with the preparation and organisation of resources and the learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Level 3 qualification relevant to working in a primary school setting (e.g. Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).

  • Previous experience working in a primary school classroom as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

  • A current, enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to supporting children’s learning.

What the School Offers:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team.

  • Ongoing training and professional development.

  • A well-structured environment with clear expectations and strong leadership.

  • Opportunities to work across a range of year groups.

  • Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications.

If you are a confident and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in Hounslow this September, we encourage you to apply.
