Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £105 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behavioural Support Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school in Brent from September 2025. This is a full-time role working closely with students who have significant behavioural, emotional, and social needs. You will play a key part in helping students access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive behaviour strategies.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong sense of empathy, clear boundaries, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with high behavioural needs
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored interventions and support plans
Implement and follow individual behaviour management strategies
Support students in developing emotional regulation and coping skills
Monitor and record student progress and behaviours
Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching staff, and external agencies as needed
Promote an inclusive and supportive environment within the classroom and school community
Contribute to a safe and structured learning environment
Requirements
Experience working with students with challenging behaviour or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
Enhanced DBS (mandatory)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure or emotionally intense situations
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Able to work under the guidance of senior staff and follow support plans consistently
Ideally, experience in a school or youth support setting
Flexibility, patience, and resilience are essential traits for this role
