Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the curriculum.
Work with individual pupils, small groups, or whole-class settings to support learning and promote engagement.
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
Provide support for pupils with additional needs, helping to implement EHCPs and differentiated learning activities.
Foster positive relationships with pupils to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Supervise pupils during non-teaching times, such as playtimes and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Support the school’s values and contribute to its positive and nurturing ethos.
Participate in relevant training, staff meetings, and wider school activities.
Requirements:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred but not essential).
A genuine passion for supporting young people’s learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Desirable:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum.
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or willingness to work towards one.
