Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Job Type: 8:30am -4pm
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £96-£105*Depending on Expeirence
The Role: Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to aid the development of a student with Autism, academically and socially. You will working 1:1 with a student, adapting the class work to challenge the student, progression English, maths and social skills. You will support with personal care and sensory time to aid the student.

A Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be expected to:
- Provide one-on-one assistance to a student with Autism
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit individual learning styles and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide emotional support and encourage social interaction.
- Observe and record progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Report concerns to the teacher or SENCO
- Encourage independence and build student confidence
Qualifications and requirements – Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis
- Experience working with SEN needs
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
