Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £96 - £105 per dayWe are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the heart of Ealing, West London. This is a full-time, term-time only position, starting in September 2025, ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs.
About the Role
You will be working within the school’s well-established Early Years team, supporting children aged 3–5 as they take their first steps into education. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCo to provide individualised support for pupils with a range of needs, including communication and language difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and developmental delays.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the teaching and learning of pupils within the Early Years setting
Delivering targeted interventions and activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo
Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs
Encouraging independence, curiosity, and emotional well-being among young learners
Assisting with classroom routines, preparation of resources, and supervision during play and learning activities
Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working in an Early Years setting (nursery, preschool, or Reception class)
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development
Patience, empathy, and flexibility, particularly when supporting children with SEN
A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting young learners
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential
Willingness to attend relevant training and actively engage in CPD opportunities
