Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have the empathy, dedication, and resilience to support pupils in achieving their full potential? If so, we invite you to apply for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant at one of our welcoming and inclusive partner schools located in Westminster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment where staff are committed to nurturing each child’s individual strengths and needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to pupils with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom

  • Assist the class teacher in planning, adapting, and delivering inclusive lessons

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to monitor pupil progress and adjust support accordingly

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, independence, and a love of learning

  • Support the emotional wellbeing of pupils and help them develop effective communication and social skills

  • Contribute to creating a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment

We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school, care, or youth work setting

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and a patient, nurturing approach

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude

  • A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child development

  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (desirable but not essential)

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo one prior to starting

What We Offer:

  • A chance to work in a supportive and collaborative school environment

  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

  • A dedicated consultant from Educate Staffing who will guide you through the application process and support you throughout your placement

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact on young lives

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone with transferable skills eager to begin a career in education, we want to hear from you.
