Teaching Assistant – Barnet – September Start (Trial ASAP)
Location: Barnet, North London
Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025 (Trial ASAP)
Daily Rate: £96 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Long-term
DBS: Enhanced DBS requiredAre you a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in children's education? Educate Staffing is currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet, starting this September, with trial days taking place ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either experienced in education or a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education
Assisting in the planning and preparation of learning activities
Working with pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to boost attainment
Helping manage classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN experience is a plus)
Supervising students during non-classroom activities, including lunchtimes and school trips
Working closely with the SENCO and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions

A committed, reliable, and enthusiastic individual
Experience working with children (school, tutoring, youth work, volunteering etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their best
Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with children and staff
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school
Must have an Enhanced DBS
Ideal Candidate May Also Have:
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3, or a degree in education/psychology)
A desire to pursue a long-term career in education or teaching
