Salary: £120 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time OnlyAbout the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the borough of Haringey, starting in September 2025. This full-time role is ideal for an HLTA who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and contributing to a dynamic school community.As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality classroom support, lead small group interventions, and occasionally take responsibility for whole class teaching in the absence of the class teacher. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' progress and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
Lead targeted intervention groups across a range of subjects, particularly literacy and numeracy.
Provide high-quality classroom cover as required, following planned lesson content.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCO as appropriate.
Support pupils with varying levels of ability, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Requirements:
HLTA status (Level 4 or equivalent qualification).
Proven experience working as an HLTA or in a similar capacity in a UK primary school.
Excellent understanding of the primary curriculum.
Confident in managing a classroom and delivering lessons to whole groups.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude.
