We are currently recruiting for a committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington. About the Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and helping to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, supporting individual and group learning, and contributing to the overall well-being and development of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils under the guidance of the class teacher

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities

  • Foster a safe and positive environment that promotes learning and development

  • Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, reporting any concerns to the teacher

  • Support the social, emotional, and personal development of pupils

  • Work effectively as part of a team of teaching assistants and teaching staff

  • Prepare classroom materials and help maintain a tidy and organised learning space

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within an educational or early years setting

  • A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other teaching assistants

  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to supporting learning

  • A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is essential for this role

  • Right to work in the UK
