Educate Staffing is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Baldock, North Hertfordshire, to recruit a 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This role focuses on providing tailored support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them to engage fully with school life and achieve their potential both academically and socially.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily learning journey of a child with autism, working under the guidance of the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering consistent, individualised support throughout the school day in line with the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

Shows empathy, understanding, and resilience when managing behaviour and emotional needs
Can follow guidance while also working independently using initiative
Is committed to inclusive education and the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils
Values teamwork and is willing to contribute positively to the wider school community
What the School Offers
A friendly and inclusive school environment where every member of staff is valued
A strong commitment to supporting professional development and training in SEN
A collaborative staff team dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment
A well-resourced school with a clear focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing
A meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in a child’s life
