Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Job Type: ASAP Start, 8:30am -4pm
Location: Wandsworth
Salary: £96-£105 *Depending on Expeirence
Are you an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant? Do you have a Child and Adult DBS?
The Role: Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be working with children with a variety of SEN needs who require additional support in class and outside of the classroom. You will be expected to aid with social and academical develop moment of students across Primary school and Secondary school level.
A Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be expected to:
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs including Autism
- Lead Social, Maths and English interventions with groups of SEN students
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit individual learning styles and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide emotional support and encourage social interaction.
- Observe and record progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Report concerns to the teacher or SENCO
- Encourage independence and build student confidence
Qualifications and requirements – Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth
- A Child and Adult DBS is required
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience working with SEN needs
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
