Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Islington, North London
Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Salary: £96 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities:
Provide support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your strengths and experience.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and delivering high-quality lessons.
Support children with varying levels of ability, including those with mild SEND or EAL needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils engage confidently with learning tasks.
Monitor and report on pupil progress to the teacher and wider team.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience working in a primary school setting (preferred but not essential).
Be enthusiastic, proactive, and confident working with children.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be adaptable, patient, and willing to take initiative.
Be passionate about education and committed to the wellbeing of pupils.
Be open to working with pupils with additional needs or behavioural challenges when required.
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
Right to work in the UK.
Able to commit to a full-time, term-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm).
Two relevant references.
