About the Role:

This exciting Teaching Assistant role involves working alongside experienced class teachers to support individual students and small groups, helping to raise achievement and ensure every child has access to a rich and inclusive education. The successful Teaching Assistant will be confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils who may need additional help

• Encourage active participation and engagement in learning

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing across the class

• Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals as a collaborative Teaching Assistant

• Help with general classroom management and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines

• A proactive, caring, and reliable approach to supporting young learners

• Valid Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one)

• A genuine desire to build a career as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream school
