About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Haringey. This is a full-time position, working five days per week, with shared planning responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing an engaging and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all pupils.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing planning and best practice to ensure consistency and high standards across the EYFS team.

• Assess, monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their next steps.

• Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support the wider school community.

• Contribute to the life of the school through participation in meetings, events and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Proven experience teaching within the EYFS, ideally in a Reception class.

• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

• A commitment to inclusive education and raising attainment for all pupils.
