We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Haringey. This is a full-time position, working five days per week, with shared planning responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing an engaging and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all pupils.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing planning and best practice to ensure consistency and high standards across the EYFS team.
Assess, monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their next steps.
Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support the wider school community.
Contribute to the life of the school through participation in meetings, events and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching within the EYFS, ideally in a Reception class.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to inclusive education and raising attainment for all pupils.
