Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Watford

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will play an important role in helping children engage with lessons, develop key skills, and grow in confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to the teacher and pupils across a range of subjects
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
• Help prepare learning materials and resources
• Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school, tutoring, childcare, or similar)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
• Ability to use initiative and adapt to the needs of the class
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
