Start Date: ASAP
Location: Ealing, London
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term

Educate Staffing is currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a lasting impact on their education and personal development.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils who require additional help. You will play an important role in ensuring children with SEN can access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons that are engaging and accessible for all pupils.

  • Adapt resources and activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.

  • Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and confidence in children.

  • Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teachers and the SENCO.

  • Help to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with staff and, where appropriate, external professionals to support pupil development.

Requirements

To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school, childcare, or similar setting (desirable but not essential).

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.

  • The ability to work under the guidance of teachers while also showing initiative.

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm to support pupils across a range of needs.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

Benefits

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will benefit from:

  • A competitive daily rate, paid weekly.

  • A full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with the possibility of a permanent contract.

  • A supportive school environment where staff are valued and encouraged.

  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children with SEN.

If you are passionate about education and excited to take on this rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role in Ealing, we would love to hear from you.
