Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Ealing
Are you an experienced Speech and Language Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity to make a real difference? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ealing, who are seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a KS2 pupil with speech and language difficulties, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. The school has a warm, inclusive ethos and is committed to providing every child with the support they need to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Speech and Language TA, you will:
Provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 5 with speech, language, and communication needs.
Implement a range of tailored strategies such as Bucket Time, Box Clever, phonics, and gross/fine motor activities.
Support the child’s confidence, independence, and participation in classroom activities.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent progress.
Monitor and track the child’s development, adapting approaches where necessary.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly speech and language difficulties.
Is familiar with speech and language interventions and strategies.
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Can build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Is proactive, flexible, and able to work as part of a collaborative team.
