This is a rewarding opportunity to support a KS2 pupil with speech and language difficulties, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. The school has a warm, inclusive ethos and is committed to providing every child with the support they need to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Speech and Language TA, you will:

  • Implement a range of tailored strategies such as Bucket Time, Box Clever, phonics, and gross/fine motor activities.

  • Support the child’s confidence, independence, and participation in classroom activities.

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent progress.

  • Monitor and track the child’s development, adapting approaches where necessary.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly speech and language difficulties.

  • Is familiar with speech and language interventions and strategies.

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

  • Can build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and parents.

  • Is proactive, flexible, and able to work as part of a collaborative team.

The School Offers

  • A supportive and inclusive environment with a strong sense of community.

  • Opportunities for professional development and training.

  • The chance to make a lasting impact on a child’s learning journey.
