Job Title: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (with potential for permanency)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream school setting? Do you have the skills, patience, and resilience to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving two-form entry mainstream primary school in Ealing. The school is well-regarded in the local community, with a supportive leadership team, welcoming staff, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work across different year groups, providing tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs. You will:

  • Provide 1:1 support for children with EHCPs and targeted interventions for small groups.

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to make learning accessible.

  • Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.

  • Promote positive behaviour and independence in the classroom and playground.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support individual learning plans.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, engagement, and resilience.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with SEN pupils in a school or similar setting (essential).

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to apply).

  • Availability to start as soon as possible and commit to a long-term, full-time role.

The School Can Offer:

  • A friendly, inclusive, and supportive school community.

  • A strong and experienced leadership team who value professional development.

  • Ongoing training and opportunities to grow in your career.

  • A chance to gain valuable experience in a mainstream primary school setting.

  • For the right candidate, there may be the possibility of a permanent position in the future.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in education, particularly those considering future pathways into teaching, educational psychology, or other child-focused professions.

???? If you are passionate about making a difference and want to join a school where your support is valued, apply today with your CV. We look forward to hearing from you.
