We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best.

The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across the school who have a range of additional needs. Your role will include:

• Providing 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs.

• Delivering small group interventions to help children progress academically and socially.

• Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to ensure accessibility for all pupils.

• Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored support.

• Building strong, supportive relationships with children and parents.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (essential).

• A caring, patient, and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for working with children.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).

• Availability to start immediately and commit to a full-time, long-term role.
