Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet, North London
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across the school who have a range of additional needs. Your role will include:
Providing 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs.
Delivering small group interventions to help children progress academically and socially.
Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to ensure accessibility for all pupils.
Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored support.
Building strong, supportive relationships with children and parents.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
Experience supporting children with SEN (essential).
A caring, patient, and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for working with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
Availability to start immediately and commit to a full-time, long-term role.
