Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5
Create a positive, stimulating, and well-managed classroom environment
Use assessment effectively to inform planning and ensure all pupils make good progress
Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil learning and well-being
Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and whole-school initiatives
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour
Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in trips, events, and enrichment activities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
A valid and enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one before starting)
Recent and relevant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine passion for teaching and learning
