We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 teacher to join our committed team in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching, has high expectations for all learners, and is eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5

  • Create a positive, stimulating, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and ensure all pupils make good progress

  • Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil learning and well-being

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and whole-school initiatives

  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in trips, events, and enrichment activities

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • A valid and enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one before starting)

  • Recent and relevant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • A positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine passion for teaching and learning
