Are you an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teacher looking to inspire and support pupils through their upper primary years? We are currently seeking a dedicated educator to join a dynamic and welcoming primary school in Borehamwood from September 2025.

About the Role

As a KS2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to children aged 7-11, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be a vital part of a committed team focused on raising standards and fostering a lifelong love of learning in every pupil.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons across the KS2 curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of your pupils.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform planning and interventions.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ wellbeing and achievement.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and promote pupil welfare.

Person Specification / Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies for upper primary students.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to motivate and engage pupils.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Ability to differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional needs.

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
