Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-time, ContractAre you an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teacher looking to inspire and support pupils through their upper primary years? We are currently seeking a dedicated educator to join a dynamic and welcoming primary school in Borehamwood from September 2025.
About the Role
As a KS2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to children aged 7-11, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be a vital part of a committed team focused on raising standards and fostering a lifelong love of learning in every pupil.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons across the KS2 curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of your pupils.
Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform planning and interventions.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ wellbeing and achievement.
Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and promote pupil welfare.
Person Specification / Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.
Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies for upper primary students.
Excellent classroom management skills and ability to motivate and engage pupils.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
