Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in Reception, following the EYFS framework.

  • Plan, assess, and adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of all children.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

  • Work collaboratively with Early Years colleagues and support staff to ensure a consistent and high-quality provision.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children's development and learning journey.

  • Contribute to wider school life, professional development, and ongoing school improvement.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) – essential

  • Experience teaching in Early Years, ideally in a Reception setting

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development

  • A creative, nurturing, and reflective teaching style

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
