Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to a Year 5 class in line with the National Curriculum.
Plan and assess effectively to meet the diverse needs of learners and ensure good progress for all pupils.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal development.
Work collaboratively with year group colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive curriculum.
Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff to support learning and pastoral needs.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives and participate fully in the life of the school.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) – essential.
Proven experience or strong understanding of teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
Secure knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment practices.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
A reflective, enthusiastic, and committed approach to teaching.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
