Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a Year 1 class in line with the National Curriculum.
Plan engaging and differentiated lessons that support pupils' academic, emotional, and social development.
Use effective assessment to monitor pupil progress and plan next steps.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support positive outcomes.
Participate in staff development, training, and wider school life.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) – essential.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
Sound understanding of the National Curriculum and child development.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
A reflective, flexible, and committed approach to teaching.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
