An Outstanding secondary school in Ealing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their dynamic and high-achieving faculty from September 2025. This is a full-time role on a long-term supply basis, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Teach a range of Humanities subjects (e.g. History, Geography, Religious Studies, Citizenship) across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and departmental schemes of work
Monitor and assess pupil progress using effective data and feedback strategies
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the Humanities department
Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, achievement, and classroom standards
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create an inclusive and aspirational learning environment
Attend departmental and whole-school meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings
Support school policies, particularly those relating to safeguarding and pupil welfare
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Proven experience teaching multiple Humanities subjects at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities
Ability to plan differentiated lessons that challenge and support all learners
A track record of strong academic outcomes and high standards of teaching
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Two professional references from recent school-based roles
Desirable Attributes
Experience teaching GCSE specifications in History, Geography or RS
Familiarity with current educational developments and effective assessment practices
Ability to contribute to extra-curricular Humanities-based clubs or projects
Experience working in high-performing or inner-city schools
