Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (dependent on experience)We are delighted to invite applications for the position of Year 1 Class Teacher at our welcoming and forward-thinking two-form entry primary school located in the heart of Dunstable, Central Bedfordshire. This is a full-time, permanent role beginning in September 2025, and we welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for Key Stage 1 education.

Key Responsibilities
The appointed teacher will:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a Year 1 class in line with the National Curriculum
Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all children can thrive
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and development, identifying and addressing any individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with year group partners, support staff, and school leaders to maintain consistency and excellence across the curriculum
Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community to support pupil learning and well-being
Contribute actively to school life, including extra-curricular activities, staff meetings, and school improvement initiatives
The Successful Candidate Will Be:
A qualified teacher (holding QTS) with a strong knowledge of Key Stage 1
A reflective and passionate practitioner with high expectations for both achievement and behaviour
Committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all pupils
Skilled in building strong professional relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues
Dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life
Keen to embrace professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
