About the Role:
As a PPA teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons while class teachers take their allocated planning, preparation, and assessment time. There is no planning required in this role, allowing you to focus entirely on teaching and engaging with students across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
This PPA teacher position is ideal for someone who is adaptable, confident in managing different classrooms, and capable of building rapport quickly with pupils and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
Ensure continuity of learning during teachers’ PPA time
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners in the classroom
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policy
Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive school environment
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Experience working across primary year groups as a PPA teacher or class teacher
Ability to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one)
