SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – HILLINGDON

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs within a welcoming primary school in Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist with implementing EHCP targets and intervention plans.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Promote independence and confidence among learners.
• Maintain accurate records and observations.

Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Understanding of autism, ADHD or speech and language needs is advantageous.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Positive, patient and resilient approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding practices.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
