SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – HILLINGDON
September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs within a welcoming primary school in Hillingdon.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist with implementing EHCP targets and intervention plans.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
- Promote independence and confidence among learners.
- Maintain accurate records and observations.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
- Understanding of autism, ADHD or speech and language needs is advantageous.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Positive, patient and resilient approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding practices.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
