We are seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for early years education to join a welcoming and supportive school in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to support young children at a crucial stage of their development within a nurturing Nursery setting.

This role will initially be offered through an agency, with the potential to progress into a longer-term position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities

• Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress

• Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development

• Assist with personal care routines where required

• Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/carers when appropriate

Requirements

• A relevant EYFS qualification at Level 2 or above, in line with current Department for Education (DfE) guidance

• A strong interest in early years education and child development

• Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting (preferred)

• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
