Contract: Full Time
Start Date: ImmediateWe are an education recruitment agency currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a well-regarded school in Watford. This is an immediate start position for a motivated individual who is keen to support pupils and contribute positively to a classroom setting.
This role would suit someone who is committed, adaptable, and confident in supporting children with a range of learning needs across the school day.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help deliver effective learning and ensure pupils feel supported, engaged, and safe at school.
Your duties will include:
Providing classroom support to teachers during lessons
Working one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning
Assisting pupils with classwork and educational activities
Supporting children with additional needs, including SEN where appropriate
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Helping to maintain a structured and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and school activities
Adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
Communicating effectively with teaching and support staff
Candidate Requirements
To be suitable for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one without delay
Have previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in education
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to follow guidance and work collaboratively as part of a team
Show flexibility and a willingness to support where needed
Have the legal right to work in the UK
