EN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Hayes, Hillingdon
Start Date: After Easter
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday), ongoingWe are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN primary school in Hayes, Hillingdon. This is a full-time role starting after the Easter break, offering a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who have additional needs and support their learning and development.

This is a well-established SEN primary school that provides a nurturing and structured environment for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. The school has a strong focus on individualised support and creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive.The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils across different year groups, depending on the needs of the school.Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans and activities
Helping to manage behaviour in a calm and positive manner
Supporting communication and social development
Assisting with personal care where required
Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff members
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
Experience supporting children with autism or complex needs is highly desirable
A patient, caring, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work across different year groups as required
Must hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
Full availability Monday to Friday is essential
