About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development
• Encourage independence and confidence in learners
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting
• Understanding of common SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD)
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) desirable but not essential
