About the Role:
A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Watford is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children’s development and delivering high-quality provision within the EYFS framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring every child gets the best possible start to their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS curriculum.

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s wellbeing and development.

  • Observe, assess, and record pupils’ progress and use this information to inform future planning.

  • Work collaboratively with Early Years practitioners, support staff, and parents/carers.

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and curiosity in learning.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold school policies and values.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one – essential.

  • Experience teaching within EYFS / Nursery in a primary school setting.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
