A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Watford is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children’s development and delivering high-quality provision within the EYFS framework.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring every child gets the best possible start to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS curriculum.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s wellbeing and development.
Observe, assess, and record pupils’ progress and use this information to inform future planning.
Work collaboratively with Early Years practitioners, support staff, and parents/carers.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and curiosity in learning.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold school policies and values.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one – essential.
Experience teaching within EYFS / Nursery in a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
