SEN Teaching PPA – SEN Primary School
Location: Hillingdon
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, with the potential for a permanent positionWe are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to provide PPA cover across primary year groups in a supportive and inclusive SEN primary school located in Hillingdon.
This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of special educational needs who is confident working flexibly across different year groups. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching while supporting pupils with a range of SEN, ensuring all learners are engaged, supported, and able to make progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required
Plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure continuity of learning
Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs is highly desirable
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies
A nurturing, patient, and professional approach to teaching and learning
A valid and up-to-date DBS registered on the Update Service
