SEN Teaching PPA – SEN Primary School

Location: Hillingdon
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, with the potential for a permanent position

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to provide PPA cover across primary year groups in a supportive and inclusive SEN primary school located in Hillingdon.

This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of special educational needs who is confident working flexibly across different year groups. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching while supporting pupils with a range of SEN, ensuring all learners are engaged, supported, and able to make progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure continuity of learning

  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate

  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs is highly desirable

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies

  • A nurturing, patient, and professional approach to teaching and learning

  • A valid and up-to-date DBS registered on the Update Service
