Start Date: January 2026About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving school in Westminster. You will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of learning, emotional, or behavioural needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Help maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
Prepare and organise learning resources to meet students’ needs.
Monitor, record, and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
Support students’ social and emotional development.
Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and school trips.
Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting all students.
Must have a valid DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one prior to starting).
