Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School (Ealing)
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing (with potential for permanent placement)About the Role
Educate Staffing is seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Ealing. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a diverse and engaging school setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to assist in delivering outstanding teaching and learning, support pupils across a range of abilities, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment. This position is available for an immediate start, and we are looking for someone who can commit to the role on a long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery across the primary curriculum.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who may need additional help.
Help differentiate tasks and adapt resources to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
Assist pupils with SEND in line with their individual support plans.
Pupil Development & Behaviour Support
Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop self-confidence, independence, and resilience.
Motivate and engage children using effective behaviour management techniques.
Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils feel valued and supported.
General School Duties
Prepare learning materials, set up classroom activities, and support with lesson organisation.
Maintain a tidy, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Supervise children during transitions, break times, and lunchtime as required.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and school leadership.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred but not essential).
A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
Ability to use initiative and maintain a positive, proactive approach.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through the agency.
Right to work in the UK.
