Description

Supply Teacher – Barnet
Location: Barnet, London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible, Part-time (2–3 days per week)
Requirements: QTS and valid DBS

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Supply Teacher to work across a range of local primary schools in Barnet. This role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a positive impact in classrooms from EYFS through to KS2.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, following school plans where provided.

  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment, ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported.

  • Adapt your teaching to suit different year groups, curriculum requirements, and school settings.

  • Mark work and provide appropriate feedback in line with school policies when required.

  • Build strong working relationships with staff and contribute professionally to the school community.

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and adhere to all school procedures.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • A valid, enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Previous classroom experience within UK primary schools across EYFS–KS2.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of varying ages and abilities.

  • Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to day-to-day teaching.

  • Ability to travel to schools across the Barnet area.
