Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceEducate Staffing is currently supporting a primary school in Hounslow to recruit a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to make a real difference in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The Role
As a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils, with a particular focus on those with SEN. You will provide targeted support to help pupils achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential, while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN, including supporting learning, behaviour, and personal development.
Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
Implement strategies and interventions to support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs) where required.
Support the inclusion of all pupils in classroom activities and school life.
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Support pupils with personal care, where necessary, in line with school policies.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for pupils.
Requirements
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting.
Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with behavioural, social, or learning challenges.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently, taking initiative to support pupils effectively.
Full-time availability is essential.
