SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Camden

Educate Staffing is seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the London Borough of Camden. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.

• Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to make learning accessible and engaging.

• Encourage independence and social interaction, helping pupils to develop confidence and life skills.

• Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or physical needs in line with their individual education plans (IEPs).

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver consistent and effective support.

• Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with teaching staff.

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.

• Patience, resilience, and adaptability when working with pupils who may present challenging behaviour.

• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one through Educate Staffing.
