Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Barnet
Educate Staffing is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Barnet. Main Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage progress.
Assist children with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Prepare classroom materials, resources, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment.
Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s ethos of respect and inclusion.
Supervise pupils during break times, lunch periods, and educational visits.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child is fully supported.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A proactive, adaptable, and supportive attitude.
A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young learners.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
