Job Title: Primary Class Teacher
Location: Harrow, London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time, Contract

We are looking for a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team at our small, community-centred primary school in Harrow. As a two-form entry school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, we are proud of our inclusive ethos, high expectations, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is eager to make a meaningful contribution to school life and pupil development across the primary phase. The successful candidate will be appointed to a class based on experience and school need, which will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in a primary setting (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)

  • A thorough understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A reflective practitioner with high expectations of themselves and their pupils

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • A team player who contributes positively to school-wide initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and well-differentiated lessons

  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with the year group partner and wider staff team

  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and track pupil progress

  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families

  • Contribute to the broader life of the school, including events and extra-curricular activities

Benefits:

  • A supportive and experienced senior leadership team who value staff wellbeing

  • Collaborative planning within a two-form entry structure

  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression

  • A positive school culture with engaged and respectful pupils

  • A well-resourced learning environment and a manageable workload

  • A strong sense of community among staff, pupils, and families

We believe that great teaching starts with great teachers. If you are committed to making a difference in children’s lives and want to be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration and care, we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers. School visits are warmly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the school office. We would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

To apply, please submit your CV outlining your suitability for the role.
