A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time contract.
This role is ideal for an experienced teaching assistant passionate about supporting children in either Year 1 and 2 as they develop their core skills in a nurturing school environment. You will assist with classroom activities, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
Support children in Year 1 and Year 2 with their learning and development
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need additional assistance
Help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Contribute to classroom management and behaviour support
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals as required
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in KS1 or early years settings
Patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach
Good understanding of KS1 curriculum and pupil development (preferred)
Ability to support literacy and numeracy activities
Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
