Nursery Teacher –  Primary School in Harrow

Location: Harrow, North West London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Contract

About the Role

A nurturing and well-established primary school in Harrow is seeking a warm, experienced, and creative Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2025.

This full-time position is ideal for a confident, qualified teacher with a passion for early childhood education and a solid understanding of the EYFS framework. You will take responsibility for a nursery class, supporting children at the earliest and most important stage of their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

  • Observe, assess, and record pupil progress, tailoring activities to meet a range of developmental needs

  • Foster a secure, welcoming, and inspiring environment where children feel valued and confident

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Work collaboratively with the Early Years team and contribute to whole-school initiatives

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and communication skills through purposeful play and structured activities


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • At least one year of classroom experience, preferably in Nursery or EYFS

  • Sound understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum

  • Strong classroom management and organisation skills

  • Ability to plan creative, child-centred activities and monitor individual progress

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
