The Role
We are looking for a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS required) who can teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support and challenge students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 optional depending on experience)
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high expectations
Work collaboratively with department colleagues to develop curriculum resources
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and attend relevant meetings and events
Uphold the school’s behaviour policies and maintain a safe learning space
Participate in extra-curricular clubs, intervention programmes, and trips where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge and an ability to adapt teaching for different learning needs
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Desirable:
Experience teaching A-Level Maths
Evidence of excellent student progress and high attainment outcomes
Familiarity with current curriculum developments and assessment strategies
A passion for STEM and willingness to contribute to maths enrichment activities
