Salary: £170 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (with potential for permanent placement)

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Borehamwood for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time position offered on a long-term basis, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The school has a strong community ethos, supportive senior leadership, and a track record of academic excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children in Years 3–6.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum

• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL

• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and specialist staff to maximise learning outcomes

• Foster strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and development

• Participate in school life including staff meetings, CPD opportunities, and extra-curricular activities

• Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the well-being of all pupils

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 in UK primary schools

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment strategies

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate pupils of all abilities

• Committed to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Two recent and relevant references from previous school-based roles

Desirable Attributes

• Familiarity with SATs preparation and KS2 assessment frameworks

• Experience delivering targeted support or intervention programmes

• Strong IT and digital learning skills

• Experience working with diverse and multicultural student populations
