An established and inclusive SEN primary school in Ealing is seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Class Teacher to join its team from September 2025. This is a full-time teaching role within a well-resourced setting that caters to pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), moderate to severe learning difficulties, and communication and sensory processing challenges.
This role offers a meaningful opportunity for a teacher committed to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualised lessons based on pupils’ EHCPs and developmental stages.
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom setting tailored to SEN learners.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider multi-agency professionals including therapists and educational psychologists.
Manage and direct classroom support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support and intervention.
Monitor pupil progress through appropriate assessment strategies and contribute to regular reviews and planning.
Build positive relationships with parents and carers, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
Adhere to all safeguarding, health & safety, and SEND Code of Practice policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – mandatory
At least one year’s teaching experience in a SEN setting – required
Experience working with children with ASD, complex learning difficulties, and communication needs
Knowledge of inclusive and therapeutic teaching approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, sensory integration strategies)
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
A positive, flexible, and reflective attitude towards teaching and learning
