Job Type: 8:30am -4pm, ASAP Start

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Salary: £140 - £200 a day

The Role: English Teacher –Barking and Dagenham

As a English Teacher, you will be teaching classes of up to 30 students KS3 and KS4 English Lessons. You will be expected to teach both English Literature and English Language, adapting the lessons to meet the needs of students in your classes. You will working in a school with outstanding facilities, working to support student progress to the best of your ability to provide children with a great start in life.

A English Teacher will be expected to:

• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills across KS3 – KS4 classes
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive learning environment.
• Establish rules and expectations for student behaviour in both classroom and experiment settings.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.

• QTS
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong ICT knowledge
