Daily Rate: Dependent on experience (MPS1-UPS3)

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring and creative lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level if desired. Your role will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Using formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform teaching

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and academic excellence

• Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally

• Working collaboratively within a strong English department and contributing to curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities

This position is full-time and long-term, running until July 2026, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a passionate and committed English Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

• Has experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)

• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a track record of strong classroom practice

• Is committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching and improving student outcomes

• Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Brings a proactive and positive attitude to school life and team collaboration
